Elizabeth St. Port Alberni,BC
This project we demolished an existing garage to make way for a new livable addition. During the excavation process, we encountered unstable clay soils that did not meet the required bearing capacity for the new foundation.​
​
To provide a stable foundation, we excavated approximately one metre below the planned footing elevation and replaced the unsuitable material with 1-inch fractured rock, compacted to meet the project engineer's geotechnical specifications. By following proper excavation practices and geotechnical recommendations, we ensured the new addition was built on a safe, stable, and long-lasting foundation.

On this project we completed the foundation excavation and underground servicing for a new residential home. After completing the excavation, our team installed all essential underground utilities, including the Perimeter drain, Sanitary sewer, Water service, BC Hydro conduit, and Shaw/TELUS communication lines.

Once the underground infrastructure was inspected and approved, we completed the backfill and structural infill, using proper compaction methods to provide a stable foundation for the next stage of construction. This project came with a tight deadline, requiring our team to mobilize quickly to prepare the site for a house lift. The client needed the foundation excavation completed and ready within days so the existing home could be relocated onto its new foundation without delaying the project.

We completed the foundation excavation, followed by the installation of the perimeter drain, sanitary sewer connection, water service, and underground utility services. After the foundation was poured, we returned to perform the backfill and final grading around the exterior of the foundation, using proper compaction techniques to provide long-term stability and drainage.

This project required our team to complete excavation and site preparation for a custom home and detached carriage home. Our team excavated a 9-foot-deep foundation for a walkout basement, ensuring the site was accurately graded and prepared for construction.

Following the foundation excavation, we completed all utility trenching, including the installation of water, sewer, perimeter drain, and radon piping for both the main residence and carriage home. Once the underground services were in place, we performed the backfill and structural infill, using proper compaction techniques to provide a stable foundation for the next stages of construction.

This project involved the demolition of a home that had been severely damaged by a house fire. Due to the unsafe and unstable condition of the structure, the property owner made the decision to have the building safely demolished.

Our team completed the demolition in just two days,
Day one we removed the structure and staged the hazardous material for trucking. Next day we safely loaded, transported, and disposed the fire-damaged materials at an approved disposal facility. Once the site was cleared, we completed final grading to leave the property clean, level, and ready for its next phase of development, while eliminating any steep embankments to improve site safety and accessibility.

For this project, we completed the excavation for a new livable space addition. Due to the elevation of the existing perimeter drain, a standard drainage system was not a suitable solution. Working alongside a geotechnical engineer, a custom rock infiltration pit was designed to safely collect and manage groundwater and surface runoff.
Our team excavated and installed the engineered drainage system to meet project specifications, ensuring proper water management and protecting the new addition from future flooding or water overflow. By combining quality excavation practices with engineered drainage solutions, we delivered a safe, reliable foundation built for long-term performance.
